It seems that some potential users have downloaded the Sample Template of the new Scriptwriters Toolkit, but have not followed the installation instructions. So they have been dissapointed.

The keystroke functions that are the main essence of the toolkit will not work unless the template is in the expected place (so that the example script attaches to it).

So I have added the installation instructions (abbreviated) to the Sample Template file Stage5c.zip and the file containing the full kit.

The installation instuctions (fully illustrated) can be downloaded (use a right-click) from the toolkit front page http://www.datahighways.co.uk/dhl/toolkit.htm or by clicking here: [Link]

Installation Instructions for ScriptWriters Toolkit.

In a nutshell, for expert users

The folder containing the script templates should be copied into the user's own templates folder or into an easily accessible folder preferably C:\templates, which is then designated as the Workgroup Templates folder in the Microsoft Word options. The Macro security level in Word..Tools..Macro..Security should be set to Medium level.

The templates will then be accessible when you perform a File.. New.. in Microsoft Word.

================

Those are the simple installation instructions, but when it is spelled out click by click for novice computer users, it naturally turns out much longer.

The installation instuctions (fully illustrated) can be downloaded (use a right-click) from the toolkit front page http://www.datahighways.co.uk/dhl/toolkit.htm or by right-clicking here: [Link]
